Collection: The Phoenician Object
The Tyrian table serves as a canvas for Tyrian purple, the dye once extracted from sea snails in the ancient city of Tyre, Lebanon. For centuries, this red-purple hue symbolised wealth and royalty, prized across the Mediterranean for its rarity and exclusivity. Here, it floods the table’s surface not as ornament, but as presence: a field of colour that asks to be felt as much as seen. Like the meditative depths of Mark Rothko’s canvases, the table invites pause, contemplation, and inward reflection.
